THE DF OFFERING

An industry partner is a business or organisation which brings a real business challenge to the Design Factory’s students and research mentors who will live and breathe the project until a proof of concept innovation is delivered.

We facilitate new product, digital and service based innovations and can recruit engagement on an international scale.

Becoming a partner is a cost effective method to gain relevant industry research and learn about the latest methods of innovation.

At the culmination of the academic year we will present you with a proof-of-concept prototype, documented research findings, and details of the innovation process.

We also facilitate “Out of the Box” Projects which can be tailored to suit a specific need or timeframe, start a conversation with us to find out how we can power projects which operate outside the universities credit point structure.

Co-creation brings you into the process
We will work with you to define a brief for your business needs. You’ll join the team in workshopping, prototyping and idea validation. To support the projects we recruit experienced researchers from across the academic community to join the teams as research mentors. We find people with relevant and active backgrounds in your technology and market.

We can draw on our international network of universities to ensure that we get the best interdisciplinary skill set for your project. We can facilitate collaborations with Stanford University USA, Aalto University, Finland, and CERN Laboratory, Switzerland, to name a few.
