Wheebo
In a collaboration between Design Factory Melbourne, Kyoto Institute of Technology and Japan-based company Yanmar, a team of students developed the Wheebo, an omni-directional, jet-powered platform, that allows the user to turn with a simple shift of weight or change of tilt on the water.
Nutan
In a collaboration between Design Factory Melbourne, Kyoto Institute of Technology and Japan-based company Yanmar, a team of students developed the Nutan, a Soil supplement spreader to reduce labour for organic farmers.
Re-Tire
In this year’s CBI³ program, a team of DFM students tackled the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 14 (Life below Water), by addressing the second-largest global source of microplastic, tyre dust.
ANSTO Start Ups
In a collaboration between Design Factory Melbourne, ANSTO and their Design Factory, nandin, this program saw two Design Honours students undertake internships to explore design innovation processes applied to topics concerned with science and technology.
