In a collaboration between Design Factory Melbourne, Kyoto Institute of Technology and Japan-based company Yanmar, a team of students developed the Wheebo, an omni-directional, jet-powered platform, that allows the user to turn with a simple shift of weight or change of tilt on the water.

In a collaboration between Design Factory Melbourne, ANSTO and their Design Factory, nandin, this program saw two Design Honours students undertake internships to explore design innovation processes applied to topics concerned with science and technology.
